Understanding Your Responses Dashboard

4 minute read

Your Central Hub for Form Type Response Management #

FORMEPIC’s Responses Dashboard gives you instant visibility into all form submissions across your account. Track response counts, monitor submission times, and access detailed response data—all from one organized interface. Whether you’re managing customer feedback, survey results, or lead generation forms, the dashboard provides the metrics and navigation tools you need to stay on top of your data collection efforts.

See responses from all your forms in one place, filter by date ranges to analyze specific periods, and quickly identify your most active forms. The dashboard automatically calculates total response counts and displays the most recent submission times, helping you understand engagement patterns at a glance.

The Forms Table #

Each form in the table displays:

  • Form Name: The title of your form

  • Response Count: Number of submissions received
  • Last Response: Time since the most recent submission (e.g., “2 hours ago”)
  • Actions: View and Export buttons

Key Features #

Date Range Filtering #

  • Select start and end dates using the calendar picker
  • View responses only within the selected period
  • Response counts and last response times update automatically
  • Clear the date range to view all-time data

Response Overview Cards #

The table provides at-a-glance metrics for each form:

  • Total Response Count: See how many submissions each form has received
  • Last Activity: Track when forms last received responses
  • Form Type Identification: Quickly identify form types with color-coded badges

  • Create New button remains available to start building forms

Requirements #

To access and use the Responses Dashboard:

  • Active FORMEPIC account
  • At least one published form (responses will appear once forms receive submissions)
  • Login credentials with proper access rights
  • Forms must be enabled and accessible to respondents

Tips and Tricks #

Maximizing Dashboard Efficiency:

  1. Use Date Ranges for Analysis: Compare weekly or monthly response volumes by adjusting date filters
  2. Monitor Last Response Times: Quickly identify inactive forms that may need promotion
  3. Enable Filters Strategically: Turn filters ON only when searching for specific data to keep the interface clean
  4. Sort by Response Count: The table shows forms with the most recent updates first, helping you prioritize high-activity forms
  5. Quick Export Access: Export directly from the dashboard for forms with fewer responses; navigate to detailed view for advanced export options
  6. Check Response Trends: Regular dashboard checks help identify patterns in submission timing and form performance

Navigation Shortcuts:

  • Click form names to jump directly to detailed response views
  • Use the breadcrumb or back button to return to the dashboard
  • Access other form management features via the top navigation tabs

Organization Best Practices:

  • Name forms clearly so they’re easy to identify in the responses list
  • Use the filter panel to group forms by type when managing multiple form categories
  • Set date ranges to focus on current campaign periods or reporting timeframes

Important Notes #

  • Real-Time Updates: Response counts and last response times update when you refresh the dashboard or return from viewing detailed responses
  • Date Range Impact: When a date range is applied, response counts and last response times reflect only the filtered period, not all-time totals
  • Filter Persistence: Filters reset when you toggle filters OFF or navigate away from the page
  • Export from Dashboard: Quick exports from the dashboard include all responses for the selected form within the current date range (if applied)
  • No Responses Display: Forms without any responses won’t appear on the Responses Dashboard—check the Created tab to see all forms regardless of response status
  • Test Mode Data: When Test Mode is enabled (available via the toggle in the header), the dashboard displays dummy data for testing purposes

Common Issues & Troubleshooting #

Problem: “No forms showing on the Responses Dashboard”

  • Solution: Verify that your forms have received submissions. Forms only appear after receiving at least one response. Check the Created tab to confirm forms exist and are published.

Problem: “Response count seems incorrect”

  • Solution: Check if a date range filter is active—this will show only responses within that period. Remove the date range to see all-time response counts.

Problem: “Last Response time not updating”

  • Solution: Refresh the page to load the latest data. Response times are calculated when the page loads, not in real-time.

Problem: “Can’t find a specific form”

  • Solution: Use the search filter (enable Filter toggle first) to search by form name. Ensure the form has received at least one response to appear on this dashboard.

Problem: “Export button not working”

  • Solution: Ensure the form has responses to export. If the date range filter is too narrow, there may be no responses in that period to export.

Problem: “Filter toggle stays OFF when trying to enable”

  • Solution: Click directly on the Filter button. The toggle should switch to ON and display available filter options below. Try refreshing the page if the issue persists.
