Tips and Tricks #

• Keep Questions Clear and Concise: Short, focused questions get higher response rates. Avoid complex wording or multiple concepts in one question.
• Limit Answer Choices: Five to seven options typically work best. Too many choices can overwhelm respondents and reduce participation.
• Use AI for Initial Ideas: If you’re unsure how to phrase your poll question, describe the topic to the AI and use its suggestion as a starting point.
• Test Before Publishing: Preview your poll on different devices to ensure it displays properly on desktop, tablet, and mobile screens.
• Enable Vote Verification: For important decisions, require email verification or account login to ensure each person votes only once.

Important Notes #

• Results update in real-time, so you can watch votes come in during live presentations or events
• Once a poll receives responses, you can still edit settings but cannot modify the question or answer choices without creating a new poll
• Anonymous polls with IP tracking can prevent duplicate votes from the same network but cannot guarantee unique voters
• Embedded polls inherit some styling from the parent website—use the customization options to ensure readability
• Poll data is retained indefinitely unless you manually delete the poll or responses

Common Issues & Troubleshooting #

Voters see “Poll has ended”: Check the poll settings to ensure the end date hasn’t passed and that maximum response limits haven’t been reached. Adjust these settings if needed.

Results don’t update in real-time: Ensure voters and you are viewing the same published poll URL. Refresh the results page if you’re viewing an older cached version.

Cannot add more answer options: Most poll types support up to 20 answer choices. If you need more options, consider using a form with dropdown or checkbox fields instead.

Voters can vote multiple times: Enable vote verification through IP tracking, email verification, or account authentication in the poll security settings.

Embedded poll doesn’t display: Verify that the embed code is correctly inserted in your website’s HTML and that your website allows iframe embeds. Check browser console for any errors.

AI generates wrong type of poll: Provide more context in your description. Specify whether you want single-choice, multiple-choice, ratings, or rankings, and mention the number of options you need.
