Find Exactly What You Need in Seconds—Even With Hundreds of Forms #

When you’re managing multiple forms, surveys, quizzes, and polls across different campaigns, departments, or projects, finding specific forms quickly becomes critical to your productivity. FORMEPIC’s advanced filtering and search system transforms your Created Forms dashboard from a simple list into a powerful query engine, letting you instantly narrow down hundreds of forms to exactly what you need—whether you’re looking for high-performing surveys, recently updated forms, forms approaching capacity limits, or all polls created in the last week.

Powerful Search and Filter Features #

Dynamic Form Name Search: Type any part of a form’s title and watch the list instantly filter to matching results, helping you locate specific forms without scrolling through pages of entries.

Multi-Criteria Filtering: Stack multiple filters simultaneously—combine form type, status, response ranges, and date parameters to create precise queries that surface exactly the forms you’re interested in analyzing or managing.

Smart Status Filtering: Quickly isolate forms by their operational state (Enabled, Disabled, or Conditionally Enabled) to identify forms that need attention, verify campaign closures, or review conditional settings.

Response Range Targeting: Find forms within specific response count ranges—whether you’re looking for high-volume forms that validate your strategy or low-response forms that might need optimization.

Time-Based Filtering: Focus on recently created forms, recently updated forms, or forms from specific timeframes to track activity, verify changes, or audit campaign timing.

Why Advanced Filtering Matters #

Without robust filtering, managing a large form portfolio becomes overwhelming. You waste time scrolling, lose track of campaign-specific forms, and struggle to identify patterns or outliers. FORMEPIC’s filtering system eliminates this friction by acting as your personal form search assistant—you describe what you want, and the system delivers precise results instantly.

Real-World Applications #

Imagine you’re preparing for a quarterly review and need all surveys created in the last 30 days with at least 50 responses. With filtering, you set three simple criteria and get instant results. Or suppose you’re troubleshooting—you need to find all disabled forms to verify closure messages. One filter click shows you every disabled form and its status details. Perhaps you’re managing multiple departments and need to find all quiz-type forms updated this week. Again, two quick filters give you exactly what you need. This level of precision turns data management from a chore into a strategic advantage.

Filter Combinations #

Powerful Multi-Filter Queries #

Filters work together to create precise queries. Here are strategic combinations:

Campaign Management Combinations #

Active High-Performers:

  • Type: Survey
  • Status: Enabled
  • Responses Min: 100
  • Updated: Last 30 days
  • Result: Successfully running surveys with strong engagement

Needs Attention:

  • Type: All
  • Status: Enabled
  • Responses Max: 10
  • Date Created: Last 30 days
  • Result: Recent forms with poor response rates needing promotion

Upcoming Deadlines:

  • Status: Conditionally Enabled
  • Type: All
  • Result: Forms with automatic close conditions to monitor

Maintenance Combinations #

Recently Closed Forms:

  • Status: Disabled
  • Updated: Last 7 days
  • Result: Forms recently closed for review or archival

Stale Forms:

  • Updated: All time (inverse of recent)
  • Status: Enabled
  • Result: Forms that haven’t been updated in months (may need review)

Zero-Response Forms:

  • Responses Min: 0
  • Responses Max: 0
  • Date Created: Last 30 days
  • Result: Recent forms not receiving submissions (needs troubleshooting)

Analysis Combinations #

Quiz Performance:

  • Type: Quiz
  • Status: Enabled
  • Responses Min: 50
  • Result: Successful quizzes with significant data for analysis

Survey Creation Velocity:

  • Type: Survey
  • Date Created: Last 7 days

Active Poll Status:

  • Type: Poll
  • Status: Enabled
  • Updated: Last 7 days
  • Result: Currently active and maintained polls

Sorting Functionality #

While not explicitly shown in the current interface code, the forms table typically supports sorting by clicking column headers.

Expected Sort Behavior (standard for form management systems):

  • Click column header once → Ascending sort
  • Click same header again → Descending sort
  • Visual indicator (arrow) shows current sort direction
  • Sorting works in combination with filters

Useful Sort Strategies:

  • Sort by Responses (descending) → See highest-performing forms first
  • Sort by Date Created (descending) → See newest forms first
  • Sort by Updated (descending) → See recently modified forms first
  • Sort by Name (ascending) → Alphabetical organization

Filter Management #

Turning Filters ON #

  1. Click the Filter button above the forms table
  2. Badge changes to “ON” (primary color)
  3. Filter row appears below table headers
  4. Begin entering filter criteria

Clearing Filters #

Method 1: Turn Filters OFF

  • Click Filter button to toggle OFF
  • All filter inputs are cleared automatically
  • Table returns to showing all forms
  • Badge changes to “OFF”

Method 2: Clear Individual Filters

  • Delete text in search field
  • Select “All” in dropdown filters
  • Clear numeric values in range fields
  • Other filters remain active

Best Practices for Filtering #

  1. Start Broad, Then Narrow: Begin with one filter, then add more to refine results
  2. Use Saved Mental Filters: Remember useful combinations for recurring tasks
  3. Clear Between Tasks: Turn filters OFF between different searches to avoid confusion
  4. Check Filter State: Verify filters are OFF if you expect to see all forms but don’t
  5. Combine Strategic Filters: Date + Status + Type creates powerful targeted queries
  6. Document Complex Queries: For reporting, note filter combinations used for consistency

Requirements #

  • Active FORMEPIC account
  • At least one created form (some filters work on empty state)
  • Modern web browser with JavaScript enabled
  • Basic understanding of your form naming conventions and types

Tips and Tricks #

  1. Quick Status Check: Use Status filter to rapidly audit form states
  2. Response Ranges for Outliers: Min: 0, Max: 5 finds forms needing promotion
  3. Combine Name + Type: Search “Newsletter” + Type “Form” finds specific subset
  4. Date Filters for Reports: “Last 30 days” for monthly performance reviews
  5. Zero Responses = Problem: Filter for zero responses on enabled forms to find issues
  6. Conditionally Enabled Monitoring: Filter by this status to track deadline-based forms
  7. Updated Filter for Teamwork: See what colleagues have been working on recently
  8. Export After Filtering: Use filters to narrow down forms before bulk actions

Important Notes #

  • Filters Are Not Persistent: Filters reset when you navigate away from the page
  • Real-Time Updates: Filter results update immediately as you type or select
  • Case Insensitive: Name search works regardless of capitalization
  • No Regex: Search is plain text, not regular expressions
  • Inclusive Ranges: Min and Max values are inclusive (e.g., Min: 10 includes exactly 10)
  • Date Relativity: Time-based filters are relative to current date (automatically updates daily)
  • Filter Visibility: Filters only appear when turned ON
  • Bulk Actions Apply: You can use bulk actions on filtered results
  • Selection Persists: Form selections remain when changing filters (until you turn filters OFF)

Common Issues & Troubleshooting #

Issue: Not seeing forms you expect to see

  • Solution: Check if filters are ON. Turn filters OFF to see all forms. Verify you haven’t accidentally set restrictive filters.

Issue: Search isn’t finding forms you know exist

  • Solution: Double-check spelling in the search field. Remember search is case-insensitive but must match partial text exactly. Clear other active filters.

Issue: Response range filter not working as expected

  • Solution: Ensure you’re entering numbers only (no commas or symbols). Verify min is less than max. Check if forms actually have response counts in that range.

Issue: Time-based filters showing unexpected results

  • Solution: Time filters are relative to today’s date. “Last 7 days” means the past 7 days from now, not a specific calendar week.

Issue: Can’t find conditionally enabled forms

  • Solution: Select “Conditionally Enabled” from Status filter. If none appear, you may not have any forms with date or submission limit conditions set.

Issue: Filters reset unexpectedly

  • Solution: Filters clear when toggling OFF or navigating away. This is by design. Document your filter combinations for recurring queries.

Issue: Forms appear/disappear while filtering

  • Solution: If forms are being created, edited, or deleted by other users, the table updates in real-time. Refresh the page to get the latest data.

Issue: Type filter not showing a specific form type

  • Solution: Verify the form is actually that type. Check the form’s settings to confirm its type designation.
